Shepway Liberal Democrats

Working for Folkestone, Hythe, Romney Marsh and Elham Valley

Lynne Beaumont | Create Your Badge

It's time for Real Change in Folkestone and Hythe.

Justice for Gurkhas. Protecting services like schools, the Royal Victoria Hospital, Fire Services and Post Offices. Fighting Lydd Airport expansion. All are campaigns I've fought alongside local people in the last 4 years.

Some we've won. Some we're still fighting. But they share one thing in common. Whether the campaign has been big or small, they make a big difference to local people.

That's what I care about. Making our area better. Changing local people's lives for the better.

Be Part of the Change.

I'm proud to have been selected as the Liberal Democrats' Parliamentary Candidate for Folkestone and Hythe. Time is short. We have 4 months to run the campaign of our lives.

In those months, we will need to give local people a real message of hope. That their vote can change things. That their new MP will stand up for local people and local causes. That not all MPs are the same.

I know how hard it will be to win here, but I'm not interested in losing. I want to be your next MP. I'm standing because I care. I want to win. I want to change local lives for the better.

I'm not wasting a single moment. I hope you'll work with me. Together, we can make a difference. We can make it happen. Together.

if you can help, please get in touch. Email me at lynne@shepwaylibdems.org.uk or call on 07885 940 945. I look forward to working with you.

Lynne Beaumont

PS. However you can work with me - from agreeing to put up a poster, to telling friends, to joining my team in the next few weeks - please get in touch. Together, we can make a real change.

Lynne Beaumont: the right choice for Folkestone and Hythe

About Lynne Beaumont

Lynne Beaumont has been selected as the Liberal Democrats' candidate for Folkestone and Hythe.

Lynne has lived, worked and campaigned here for 25 years. She has lived in Folkestone, Hythe and the Elham Valley and raised her children here, and is delighted that her grandchildren are also now growing up here.

Lynne has been a Councillor in Shepway for over 6 years, and a School Governor for 12 years before that. As Leader of the District Lib Dem Group locally, Lynne has never been afraid to lead from the front, and take difficult decisions to stand up for the area. That's what leaders do.

Lynne believes that our next MP should be dedicated to our area full time. Fighting for local services. Working with local people and local councils to deliver for the area. Standing up for what local people want - not blindly following a Party line.

  • Working full time for local people.

  • Keeping in touch all year round, and being a part of our local community.

  • Campaigning on key local issues.

  • Standing up for those who need our support such as the Gurkha's, the homeless, the neglected.

Lynne pledges that if elected as our next MP, she will be a full time MP for our area, and have no other job, paid directorship or outside interests. Lynne has been disgusted with the behavious of MPs over expenses, and would not claim second home expenses. Lynne would continue to live here and commute to Westminster - as so many other local people do.
