Tim Prater: Pleased that Acromas and Saga have reinforced their commitment to the Folkestone area
|
Cheriton Councillor Tim Prater has welcomed news that Saga have bought Cheriton Parc House in Cheriton Parc from Eurotunnel and are planning to use the building as a new call centre, creating up to 400 new jobs.
Tim commented:
"Cheriton Parc House has been pretty much empty for too long and I warmly welcome Saga to Cheriton. With the new Holiday Inn Express in Cheriton Parc as well, it's great to see new jobs being created and new businesses coming to the area.
"I understood Eurotunnel has been planning to lease the building, but it seems that they have been persuaded to sell. I'm pleased that Acromas Holdings, who since September 2007 own Saga and the AA amongst other businesses, have reinforced their commitment to the Folkestone area, adding to their Sandgate Enbrook Park HQ and Middelburg Square offices."
Acromas Holdings Ltd acquired the businesses of the AA and Saga on 18th September 2007. Its shareholders are its employees, and funds advised by Charterhouse Capital Partners, CVC Capital Partners and Permira Advisers.
