Sandgate Council Extraordinary meeting: 17th June4.59.21pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 16th Jun 2008 At the last meeting of Sandgate Council a motion was passed to implement the decision of the referendum held on 12th June, whatever the outcome. There will therefore be a Extraordinary Council meeting on 17th June to ratify and implement the results of the referendum. In the referendum, local people voted overwhelmingly to return Sandgate to a Parish by 709 votes to 42. All members of the public are welcome at the meeting, starting at 8pm, at Sandgate Library, Sandgate High Street.
