Rubbish, full bin and dumped washing machine at the foot of Folkestone's Road of Remembrance: Photo taken 13 May by Sue Wallace

Harbour Councillor Sue Wallace is furious after Shepway Council keep failing to properly clear up the Folkestone seafront and harbour area, and especially at the foot of Folkestone's Road of Remembrance at the back of Marine Terrace.

Lib Dem Sue has repeatedly contacted the Council to highlight the rubbish and dumped items in the area, including sending photos illustrating the problem. Despite the emails and photos, the problem still continues, with overflowing bins and dumped rubbish still in evidence today (13 May).

Sue Wallace said:

"It's just awful that Shepway Council are leaving the area like it.

"This is the first thing visitors see as they walk down the Road of Remembrance. Is this really the impression we really want to give and for people to take home with them?

Clean up your act Shepway get a few more bins on Marine Parade, and clean up more regularly."
