Briddock calls for Folkestone West Underpass Renovation

9.43.56am GMT Fri 9th Feb 2007

Morehall Campaigner Darren Briddock has today called on the Managing Director of Southeastern Trains to improve the underpass at Folkestone West Station. South Eastern Trains have committed to all stations being repainted within three years and Darren has requested that Folkestone West be moved up the list.

In a letter to Charles Horton, MD of South Eastern Trains, Darren has requested that the underpass is renovated as soon as possible. In the letter, Darren said:

"The Folkestone West Underpass is a very unpleasant place to be: it's damp, has water running down the walls, peeling paint and mould growing. It's not what the fare paying passengers of Folkestone deserve."

Darren commented:

"This underpass is one of the first things many visitors to Folkestone will see of our town, and what an awful impression it must give them."
