Hythe Town Council By-election Results1.02.22pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 22nd Jul 2005
The Liberal Democrats have thanked voters for their support in the by-elections to Hythe Town Council in Hythe South and Hythe East. Although the Conservatives won both seats, the Liberal Democrats retain control of Hythe Town Council. The results in full were: Hythe South Ward - Turnout 45% Darren Briddock, Liberal Democrat - 194 Nick Meurice, Conservative - 415 Martin Ross, Independent - 306 Hythe East Ward - Turnout 35% Keren Belcourt, Conservative - 799 Sam Matthews, Liberal Democrat - 262
